Wilderness Safari
The Wilderness Safari is mainly for the adventurous and/or those with special interests. This Safari is an opportunity for visitors to have an expedition in the park, making stopovers en route, so that visitors have the opportunity to explore the Park from different angles.
From the Park headquarters, drive or ride through Brugbani Camp, Asibey Loop to Harabaharaba tree platform. From there, continue to Asibey Pool through the evergreen forest to Steep Hill; continue on Lovi Road to Lovi, where you will enjoy the historical interpretation of the area. After 5 km towards Nyange, you will find the attractive spring water on your left hand side, 1 km from the road. From here the route continues to Mbolobi old settlement. You can continue to Nyange Camp, and after crossing the river to the old settlement of Nyange Village, you will go to another old historic settlement called Buge. From Buge, you will head towards Ducie and join the slave trade route to Ducie Camp. From there, go rightwards to another historic old settlement called Gongole, and then proceed to Gongole Camp. Continue to the next attraction: the Konkori Old Slave Cave, and then to the Konkori Old Settlement which was inhabited by the Tampulima tribe and now is merged with Bawena community outside the Park.
These activities give you the opportunity to see big game like elephants, buffaloes, roan antelopes, several hartebeests, waterbucks, etc. This can be done in two days with a vehicle, with a one-night stopover in one of the Mole National Park Ranges or satellite camps. It can take 2-3 days on foot.
